Holiday Toy "Tasting"

Who ever thought you could build you own adorable robotic pet? Much less a hedgehog! In this kit from Thames & Kosmos, kids assemble a real robot that looks like a cute hedgehog. But that’s just the beginning: the robot has a built-in sound sensor and is programmed to react to different sounds that make it tumble, roll, spin around, bristle its spines, and scurry around. By building the robot (it has 172 pieces!), kids gain experience around the inner mechanical workings that enable robots to move while learning about gears, motors, sound sensors, LEDs, and the other components of this funny little pet.
