Some things in this world are just as fun when they’re upside-down! Like an upside-down Christmas Tree (it’s a thing), or eating the bottom of a cupcake first! Pineapple is no different! Back in the good ol’ days, many bakers only had a fire and a skillet at their disposal to make cakes. To make sure the fruit topping got the proper heat it deserved, they’d put it on the bottom, and then flip it over to serve! Voila! Upside-down cake! Later, someone watching this process said “why not pineapple?” and the Pineapple Upside-Down cake was born! A lil’ bit of Pineapple went a long way to making this cake delicious, just like a lil’ bit of Micro Pineapple will go a long way towards making you smile!
